* The incline press felt harder then the last time. I could only do 2 sets of 6 reps and one set of 5. However, the reps I performed today were done with a spotter and in strict form. I recall doing this exercise the last time arching my back, bouncing the bar off my chest, and not locking out my elbows which are all forms of cheating.
I remember learning about the Weider training principles back in my youth while lifting weights in my parent’s basement. The world has changed much since this time and Joe Weider is no longer with us but his mark in the fitness world will never be forgotten.
Joe Weider made many important contributions to bodybuilding including the well-known and almost taken for granted Weider principles.
The number of Weider’s training principles has grown over the years. Throughout this blog I attempt to discuss all of these principles in detail and will be adding them to the following list.
I found some contest results of a few famous bodybuilders on MuscleMemory.com including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Reg Park competing back in the day at the NABBA Universe Championships. I wonder how these athletes would compare to today’s if they could somehow be translated through time.
